Aldergrove Soccer’s head referee Art Bandenieks will be instructing an ENTRY LEVEL Referee Clinic on the weekend of August 23-25, 2019. This is for ages 14 and up (you must be 14 on the start date of the clinic). Being a referee is a GREAT way for youth to earn some money and gain a greater understanding of the game.
The last clinic filled up within two weeks; the course is currently marked as PRIVATE for THE FIRST TWO WEEKS ONLY to allow AYSC members to register first, then this course will be opened up to the masses, SO PLEASE REGISTER RIGHT AWAY if you are interested in refereeing with AYSC this coming Fall season.
The course is being held in the Legacy Building between Field #3 and Rotary Stadium at Exhibition Park in Abbotsford. Participants must be available for all 3 sessions of this course.
The ‘Entry Level Referee’ clinic is the entry point into 11 a-side soccer. Once an individual is successful in passing this clinic they will be classified as a ‘Youth Referee’ (if they are 14 or 15 years old) or a ‘District Referee’ (if they are 16 years old or older). This is the next level above the ’Small Sided Games Referee’.
