General Season Notes

The Fall season starts the beginning of September after school starts. Our tentative start date, pending Township of Langley field assignments, is Saturday, September 18. The season will break for the Christmas holidays (approximately 2nd week of December through 2nd week of January).

AYSC continues to monitor updates from health authorities, Canada Soccer, and BC Soccer. We are doing everything possible to be ready for various scenarios as the province moves through its phased re-opening to whatever the ‘new normal’ might look like, and we will provide AYSC members with updates as we learn new information.

Where are games played?

The Developmental program is run on the turf fields at Aldergrove Athletic Park, 27 Ave. and 269 St. behind Betty Gilbert Middle School (view Google map). (U9/U10 Girls and U9/U10 Boys may have an away game via interlock with another local club.)

Are games played in the rain / snow?

Games are played regardless of the degree of rain. However, fields are sometimes closed by the Township of Langley due to too much water on the field. In the event of snow on the field, all games will be cancelled. If the fields are deemed unplayable, the Club will email all coaches and parents as soon as the decision is known.

Where do my registration fees go?

Your fees pay for:

  • BC Soccer fees

  • Township of Langley field charges for all-weather and grass fields
  • referees and linespersons
  • an individual and a team photo (included with registration)
  • uniforms (jersey, shorts and socks)
