Presented Annually to an Outstanding AYSC Volunteer Coach
The Will Wildeboer Memorial Award is presented annually to an AYSC volunteer coach whose love for the game of soccer inspires and challenges young players to grow with joy and confidence, and who leads with commitment to the team and treats all with respect and kindness.
Nominations open annually on January 1 (for 2025/2026, February 3) and close February 15, with the award presented near the end of the Fall season.
Will Wildeboer was a dedicated volunteer coach who had a tremendous impact on many players throughout his six years of coaching with the club. Many of our players are fortunate to have known and / or been coached by Will for many seasons, and they benefited from the passion, expertise, and support he consistently provided them. He worked very hard to get the best out of kids and was skilled at teaching them solid technical and tactical skills.
Will passed away suddenly on September 19, 2025 leaving behind his wife Marcia and four young children.
