Turf Fields Reminder

A reminder of the following:

  • -there are to be NO food or drinks on the turf field at any time (water only) – players should come OFF the turf field for 1/2 time snacks
  • only players and coaches are allowed on the turf fields (spectators should remain OFF the field outside of the fence)

Gym Practices End November 30, Games Break December 15

Please note that this week (November 26-30) is the last week for indoor gym practices, as schools start to use their gyms to set up for holiday concerts and events. Practices will resume the week of January 7.

The last Saturday game before breaking for the holidays will occur December 15. Saturday games resume January 12.

U5/U6 This Wednesday at Parkside

Please note that U5/U6 teams DO have a practice / game this Wednesday November 28 at Parkside. See the updated schedule at

U5/U6 Gym Times in January

Beginning in January, U5/U6 teams will only have a Wednesday night indoor game / practice (no outdoor games Saturday). As this is our first year in the gym with our youngest players, we’ve found that having 4 teams in Parkside is fine for scrimmages but a little tight for working on drills. Accordingly we have reworked the schedule so that Wednesday evening will be split into 3 time blocks:

  • 6:00 – 6:40
  • 6:40 – 7:20
  • 7:20 – 8:00

Only 2 teams will be in the gym at any one time. This should give coaches a bit more space to work with players on some drills, and the slightly shorter sessions are probably a good thing for our smaller players given it’s a school night.

PLEASE BE SURE YOUR TEAM CLEARS THE GYM BY THE END OF YOUR BLOCK so that the next group can have a full session. The updated schedule has been posted on the AYSC website at
