A HUGE thank you to several of our volunteer coaches for spending their time on recent Saturdays to complete coaching education courses!
Having enough coaches with basic training to support Canada Soccer’s Long Term Player Development (LTPD) model is critical to AYSC’s operation – without enough coaches with basic certifications, our Club would not be granted a license by BC Soccer / Canada Soccer to operate. (Most courses are not difficult, and are made up of an online component and a practical in-person component.)
The photo below is of our volunteer coaches taking part in the FUNdamentals (coaching players aged 6 to 9) and Learn 2 Train (coaching players aged 8 to 12) courses.
