Nominations are now open for the inaugural Will Wildeboer Memorial Award, which will be presented annually to an AYSC volunteer coach whose love for the game of soccer inspires and challenges young players to grow with joy and confidence, and who leads with commitment to the team and treats all with respect and kindness.
The award was created in honour of Will Wildeboer, a dedicated AYSC volunteer coach who had a tremendous impact on many players throughout his six years of coaching with the club. Will passed away suddenly on September 19, 2025.
The nomination deadline is February 15. Eligible nominees are any volunteer coach who has volunteered for at least two seasons (Fall or Spring) with AYSC. The award will be presented near the end of the Fall season.
