Shortly after sending out our revised protocols email this morning, we were informed of a possible case of COVID-19 within our membership. We are issuing this email to our entire Club to provide early notification that this individual attended the field on November 14, 2020 from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm and November 16, 2020 from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm.
Out of an abundance of caution, effective immediately we are temporarily pausing all AYSC activities, including practices, scrimmages and inter-Club competitive play. We will communicate to the Club once soccer activities resume.
Receiving this email does not mean you have been directly exposed to COVID-19. If Fraser Health confirms a case of COVID-19, they will work with the individual / their family, AYSC, and any other relevant agencies to determine and support next steps, including contact tracing.
For safety and privacy reasons, AYSC will not identify specific individuals, and we will not provide any further public statements or communications regarding this possible exposure beyond this notification unless and until directed by health authorities, the Township of Langley, or our governing bodies.
