Township of Langley fields are on DISCRETION status for the weekend of March 4 and 5, 2017 due to saturated conditions and a forecast of potential snow.
Fields with DISCRETION status shall be inspected two hours prior to game time by the coach of the home team. The home team coach can designate a field as OPEN as long as none of the following exists anywhere on the field:
- standing water or puddles (ground is saturated “like a sponge”)
- muddy areas
- frost or frozen ground
- snow
If the home team coach designates the field as CLOSED, it is their responsibility to notify the visiting team coach and AYSC.
