The Township of Langley has listed Creekside Park as DISCRETIONARY for the weekend. The current forecast calls for clouds but not rain, so we will hope that the fields will dry out a little more overnight. Coaches, parents, and players should assume that all games will be played as scheduled Saturday – see a map of the field placements at Creekside. We will assess the field again at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow and send out an email at 8:15 indicating if the fields are too wet – please check your email in the morning.
Developmental Coordinator Rob Wilson has just walked the fields (12:00 noon Friday) and several sections are still quite boggy. If any coaches or parents are willing to help “sweep” the water off the fields this afternoon (Friday), please show up at 4:00 p.m. with your large pushbrooms.
We will be holding a “Town Hall” meeting next Friday at 7:00 p.m. to solicit feedback and ideas on how to mitigate the lousy weather we have had this Winter. Stay tuned for location and further details.
