Our U5-U10 In-House Development and U11-U16 Recreational programs start the week of September 14, 2026!
All AYSC programs take place at Aldergrove Athletic Park (AAP), behind Betty Gilbert Middle School – view Google map.
PLEASE ENSURE YOU COME TO THE FIELD FOR THE CORRECT TIME FOR YOUR AGE GROUP. Bring water, shin guards, and either cleats or runners.
See you on the pitch!
Week One & Week Two Activities
The first few weeks of the season provides the Club an opportunity to assess players and set balanced teams and schedules. During these first few weeks, AYSC’s Club coaches will be leading station-based “skills and drills” and scrimmages with all players and volunteer coaches.
- on arrival, all players and volunteer coaches for the age group will meet in the middle of the field to be divided into loose groupings
- players will jump into activities (mini games / drills) led by our Club Coaches
- volunteer coaches will meet in a quick huddle to touch base with our Age Group Coordinators / Head Coach Cam Ward / Club Coaches to go over goals for the session
- volunteer coaches will then join the activities underway to assist Club Coaches in running the drills and keeping players on task
Players will be assigned to a team toward the end of September. Uniforms will be handed out once teams are formed.

Volunteer Team Leaders / Coaches Needed
AT PRESENT AYSC DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH VOLUNTEER COACHES AT THE U5/U6, U7/U8, AND U9/U10 LEVELS.
One of the biggest challenges we have in organizing the season is that not enough volunteers step forward early enough. WE CANNOT CREATE TEAMS OR SCHEDULES UNTIL WE HAVE VOLUNTEER COACHES, IT IS AS SIMPLE AS THAT.
AYSC Club Coaches provide training and weekly direction for all volunteer coaches. Many feel they do not have enough experience or skill to coach, but the truth is that at the younger ages, the primary responsibility is to help players develop very basic skills (dribbling, shooting, passing etc.) and ensure they have FUN!
If you have a player at the these age groups please consider volunteering ASAP! Visit https://www.aldergrovesoccer.com/volunteer/ to learn more.
