AYSC’s U11-U18 Competitive Div 3 teams must be submitted to the League in just a few weeks. AYSC can only provide a team at any age / Division if a volunteer coach is available for that team. At the moment we do not have enough volunteer coaches to be able to submit teams to cover all Div 3 registrations.
As work schedules and illness sometimes prevent volunteers from being available, we aim to have a minimum of two volunteers for every team, to ensure continuity of direction for the players.
In the absence of having enough volunteer coaches step forward, players may be folded (according to date of registration) to our U11 and up Recreational program where every team will be mixed across ability as evenly as possible.
One of the biggest challenges we have in organizing the season is that not enough volunteers step forward early enough. WE CANNOT CREATE TEAMS OR SCHEDULES UNTIL WE HAVE VOLUNTEER TEAM LEADERS, IT IS AS SIMPLE AS THAT.
New this year, parents / guardians who step forward to volunteer as a coach or assistant coach will be offered a $50 registration fee rebate once the season starts in September. Parents / guardians who volunteer with more than one team (age group) will receive a $50 rebate for each team they are assigned to.
