The Aldergrove Minor Baseball Association recently lost their batting cage facility at Aldergrove Athletic Park due to a fire. The fire is under investigation, and the Township of Langley (who owns the structure) has vowed to replace the cage ASAP, but there are many other elements that will need to be addressed:
- Replace training equipment
- Repair or replace pitching machines
- Offset the cost of renting and outfitting an alternate training space so their kids can keep playing and developing year-round
Years of fundraising, volunteer hours, and community support went into building this facility. AMBA has started a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to help in the rebuild, and AYSC will be making a donation on behalf of our Club and its members. We are asking you to also donate, if you are able, to support our neighbour sport organization recover as quickly as possible from this unfortunate incident.
Every donation – no matter the size – helps AMBA get players back where they belong: learning, training, and loving the game of baseball.
