AYSC Coach Tyson Hunter is in Malawi as part of TeamUp Canada, which fosters life changing opportunities in disadvantaged countries through sport. Here’s a quick message from Tyson.
“Hey guys, hope everyone’s having an awesome week!
I just finished spending a week in Malawi. Here’s a little update after we ran a tournament for the kids. We also got to hand outside prizes and food to every kid (most have barely had a meal this week due to the drought of the crops this year).
They literally had nowhere to play sport 3 years ago when I first came. And thanks to donations and help, we’re able to give kids a chance to belong to something, a chance to have fun and a chance for a future.
So I’d love to have you guys help out and help change and give hope to this community! Because we REALLY need it. And these kids REALLY need it.
$100 provides a kid a chance to be part of the academy for a year where they receive proper coaching, chance to play games, food, education and life skills training (farming, woodworking etc.).
But anything helps!
We also have our Christmas Ball Project. $20 gifts a ball to child to give them some joy and hope this Christmas!
Thanks guys!”
