AYSC’s Executive volunteers and Club coaches have been working extremely hard since registration closed to set teams and schedules for the first half of the season. Thank you for your patience.
What Team am I On? When Do I Play? Where Do I Play?
You can view your team assignment at:
https://www.aldergrovesoccer.com/player/
THIS LINK CAN BE FOUND ON THE HOME PAGE OF THE AYSC WEBSITE WHEN VIEWING ON A MOBILE DEVICE, SO YOU CAN EASILY LOOK UP INFORMATION ON YOUR PHONE IF YOU GET TO THE FIELD AND FORGOT WHERE TO GO!
Your team assignment will show your team name, team leaders, weeknight / Saturday times, and field location.
A HUGE thank you to our volunteer Coaches / Team Leaders / Assistant Team Leaders for stepping forward – please help them as much as you can!
Game Schedules
The format for weeknight and Saturday sessions is half practice / half game. Coaches will typically conduct a practice session with their team, and then play an intra-squad game (sometimes called a scrimmage) for the remainder of the time.
Some temporary player shuffling may occur in-game to promote fair play, per BC Soccer guidelines.
SCORES / STANDINGS ARE NOT KEPT AT THE DEVELOPMENTAL LEVEL.
Saturday game schedules will be posted later this week.
AYSC Soccer – Rain or Shine
AYSC activities take place rain or shine. AYSC will only cancel activities if the Township of Langley closes the fields (or sets the field status to ‘discretionary’, where the Club will cancel games if we determine the condition of the fields is unplayable). There are no games in the event of snow on the field. Township field status can be viewed at https://facilities.tol.ca/. The Club will communicate any closures as quickly as possible via email.
Uniforms / Clothing
A jersey, shorts, and socks are provided at the start of the season.
Shin guards are mandatory for all age groups to prevent injury.
When it’s cold out players can wear a jacket or sweatpants under their jersey. A toque is also an excellent idea – no hats with brims (i.e. no baseball caps).
A player must not use equipment or wear anything which might be dangerous. Rings, necklaces, watches, bracelets, earrings and barrettes MUST be removed.
Boot Exchange
Players need cleats or runners (not provided). AYSC operates a free soccer boot exchange at Aldergrove Athletic Park (Rubbermaid bins in the large container). If you need boots, check to see if there are a pair that will fit your player. If you have used boots to exchange or donate, please put them in a Rubbermaid bin on any session day.
