Thank you to AYSC Club members for bringing items for the Food Bank and donations of toys for 2023. It was truly impressive what our families donated this year. From the Aldergrove Food Bank:
“Thank you for your generous grocery donation. It will be a great help to the many families in the Aldergrove area. In the last two years our client numbers have more than doubled, from 55 to 115 families, representing almost 300 individuals. In 2023 we have registered several new families each week. They come from all walks of life: single moms, the under-employed, those struggling to stretch disability or pension cheques, newcomers to Canada and those who are transitioning from homelessness.”
“We are so grateful for the caring people and businesses in our community who have stepped up to help. Through the donation of non-perishables and cash we are able to provide a healthy mix of fresh produce, dairy products, meat, bread and canned goods. [Aldergrove Soccer is] playing an integral part in providing hope to these families through increased food security….”
