AYSC’s Executive volunteers and Club coaches have been working extremely hard since registration closed to set teams and schedules for the season. Thank you for your patience.
What Team am I On? When Do I Play? Where Do I Play?
You can view your team assignment at:
https://www.aldergrovesoccer.com/player/
THIS LINK CAN BE FOUND ON THE HOME PAGE OF THE AYSC WEBSITE WHEN VIEWED ON YOUR PHONE, SO YOU CAN EASILY LOOK UP INFORMATION ON IF YOU GET TO THE FIELD AND FORGOT WHERE TO GO!
Your team assignment will show your team name and Team Leaders.
A HUGE thank you to our volunteer Team Leaders and Assistant Team Leaders for stepping forward!
Game Schedules
The schedule and a field map can be found at:
https://www.aldergrovesoccer.com/programs/spring/schedules/
Please check the schedule and field map to determine who and where you play each week – you will be at a different field each week.
Each game on the schedule has TWO TEAMS identified by letters and a FIELD NUMBER that corresponds to the field map. Please take note of the schedules carefully.
Some temporary player shuffling may occur in-game to promote fair play, per BC Soccer guidelines.
AYSC Soccer – Rain or Shine
AYSC activities take place rain or shine. AYSC will only cancel activities if the Township of Langley closes the fields (or sets the field status to ‘discretionary’, where the Club will cancel games if we determine the condition of the fields is unplayable). There are no games in the event of snow. Township field status can be viewed at https://facilities.tol.ca/. The Club will communicate any closures as quickly as possible via email.
Clothing
A t-shirt is provided at the start of the season.
Shin guards are mandatory for all age groups to prevent injury.
When it’s cold out players can wear a jacket or sweatpants under their jersey. A toque is also an excellent idea – no hats with brims (i.e. no baseball caps).
A player must not use equipment or wear anything which might be dangerous. Rings, necklaces, watches, bracelets, earrings and barrettes MUST be removed.
Boot Exchange
Players need cleats or runners (not provided). AYSC operates a free soccer boot exchange at Aldergrove Athletic Park (Rubbermaid bins in the large container). If you need boots, check to see if there are a pair that will fit your player. If you have used boots to exchange or donate, please put them in a Rubbermaid bin on any session day.
Participant & Spectator Conduct
We would like to remind all participants / spectators that any sort of negative behaviour at the pitch (rude or unsportsmanlike comments, verbally abusing players / coaches / referees / opposing spectators, etc.) is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
As a young player, it can be very unnerving to have an adult make negative comments about your person, your play, or your team from the sidelines.
Individuals who cannot abide by these guidelines may find that their player is suspended or forced to withdraw from the season.
Please ensure you moderate your behaviour at the pitch. This is a game and is meant to be competitive but FUN.
See you on the pitch!
