AYSC’s Executive volunteers are working hard behind the scenes to organize for the Developmental (U5-U10) season, anticipated to start Saturday, September 17. AYSC IS A VOLUNTEER-RUN ORGANIZATION. WE CANNOT BEGIN TO CREATE TEAMS AND SCHEDULES UNTIL ENOUGH PARENT / GUARDIAN VOLUNTEERS HAVE STEPPED FORWARD TO BE TEAM LEADERS / COACHES. WE STILL NEED MANY VOLUNTEERS AT ALL AGE LEVELS.
Many feel they do not have enough experience or skill to coach, but the truth is that at the younger ages, the primary responsibility is to help players develop very basic skills (dribbling, shooting, passing etc.) and ensure they have FUN!
AYSC typically has at least two Team Leaders / Coaches per team, to share the duties. The Club provides support for all new volunteer Team Leaders / Coaches to help them understand the game and provide an engaging experience for players.
If you have registered a player with AYSC for this Fall, please consider volunteering to be a Team Leader ASAP.
