AYSC Activities Resume Starting Tuesday December 1

All regularly / previously scheduled AYSC activities will resume starting Tuesday December 1, 2020. See Fall Schedules – Developmental (U5-U10) Fall Program for details. Please note that Wednesday evening sessions for U5/U6s have now ended.

COVID-19 numbers are still rising in BC, and we all must do everything we can to bend the curve down. We encourage you to make the best decision for your own family / situation on whether or not to participate in these last three weeks before the holiday break.

Additional COVID-19 health policies put in place a few weeks back following BC Health Authority restrictions, below, will remain in place until at least December 7, 2020 at midnight.

The policies below are over and above our existing COVID-19 protocols and safety policies – see AYSC COVID-19 Procedures – Masks Expected:

  • remember to complete AYSC’s Player Check-In / COVID-19 Screening Questionnaire prior to EVERY session
  • please continue to wear a mask and practice social distancing while dropping your child off at the field
  • every player needs to see their Coach / Team Leader for hand sanitizing upon arrival and upon departure

First off, there will be NO SPECTATORS ALLOWED at any events sanctioned by AYSC. This will include practices, scrimmages, inter-Club competitive play, and Academy sessions. We kindly ask that you drop your player off at the field and leave the immediate area (e.g. wait in your car). We also request that when you return to pick up your player(s) you vacate the fields as soon as possible.

The only exception to this rule are our very young U5/U6 players, where we ask that only one parent be available for safety and monitoring purposes. It is CRITICAL that any parents in attendance clearly obey the social distancing protocols.

We expect there to be monitoring of this policy by Township of Langley (ToL) Park Rangers, so please ensure you adhere to this policy.

Secondly, our Traveling Teams (U11 and U12’s) will only play teams WITHIN our Club – there will be no games played with other communities’ clubs.

The above policies will be strongly enforced by the Township; therefore, we thank you in advance for your utmost cooperation with these new policies. If we all abide by the rules, it will allow for our children to keep playing soccer, and will hopefully allow for more relaxed policies in the future.

As previously stated, should any of your family members test positive, we would greatly appreciate you letting us know in the strictest of confidence, by email to info@aldergrovesoccer.com, so that we can continue to plot the safest path forward for our Club.

We are all hoping that the holiday break will allow us to return to full programming and competitive games in January.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email registrar@aldergrovesoccer.com.
