AYSC recently cleaned out our container at Aldergrove Athletic Park, and we are preparing to donate a significant amount of unneeded soccer equipment and ‘kit’ (jerseys, shorts, socks etc.) to Rueben’s Shoes (http://www.rubensshoes.com/), a registered Canadian charity started by two young women originally from Aldergrove. Rueben’s Shoes fill shipping containers full of shoes and bring them to various countries around the world to kids in need.
In the spirit of the the season and giving, we are putting the call out to AYSC member families to donate any “gently used” soccer cleats you may have lying around your house (or that you may have after buying new cleats for Christmas!), to include in AYSC’s donation.
Cleats can be dropped off at the AYSC container at AAP on Saturday mornings until January 15, 2019.
