Fun & Fitness!
Aldergrove Youth Soccer Club is again operating a Spring Soccer program this year. The program is endorsed and approved by BC Soccer and has an emphasis on fun and fitness, with a chance to play with old friends as well as make new ones.
Spring soccer is aimed at players wanting to continue after the traditional season ends in March. This is also an excellent opportunity to introduce new players to the game, and allow kids who are busy with hockey or other activities in the Fall a chance to participate in community soccer.
Teams play 5 to 7 a side depending on age group. Rules are modified to eliminate off sides, and with substitutions permitted on the fly, the spring league offers a fast paced and fun-filled game.
Opening day is April 3, 2017 where the Club formalizes teams. Monday night games run April 10 – June 19 (no May long weekend games), with 5:45 and 7:00 pm kickoffs. Games are played on the Aldergrove Athletic Park turf, rain or shine, unless the Township closes the field.
U5-2012 to U8-2009 will play mixed boys and girls. Subject to registration numbers, U9-2008 to U12-2005 ages could play all-girls and all-boys teams (not co-ed).
In the event that insufficient registrations are received to fill a division, AYSC will promptly provide refunds. After the registration deadline has passed, players will only be registered in order to fill divisions.
THERE ARE NO REFUNDS AFTER TEAMS ARE FORMED.
Optional Wednesday Evening Training Sessions (U9-2008 to U12-2003)
AYSC will again be running optional Wednesday 5:45 pm training sessions April 5 – June 14
for players U9-2009 to U12-2006 only for a small additional fee. This will be a “skills and drills”-type setting led by experienced AYSC Club coaches.
Volunteer Team Leaders Needed
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO OPERATE THE SPRING PROGRAM UNLESS WE HAVE ENOUGH PARENTS STEP FORWARD TO LEAD TEAMS. The spring program is low-key and does not require a lot of ‘coaching’ – we only need volunteers to help manage the number of players on the field and substitutions. To indicate your willingness to volunteer, please circle the appropriate box on the registration form.
For questions about AYSC’s Spring Soccer program, please email email@example.com.
Where Do My Registration Fees Go?
