Hello from Aldergrove Youth Soccer! Thanks for signing up for the 2008 spring league season, this email is to let you know we are starting this Monday, April 14th, with a 30 minute introductory session for all kids and parents. We need all of you to plan on staying for the full 30 minutes so we can have our pre-season run down and arrange teams.
The following is a list of age groups, genders and times for April 14th:
Boys and Girls born in 2001, 2002 and 2003 – 5:30 to 6pm
Boys and Girls born in 1999 and 2000 – 6pm to 6:30pm
Girls born in 1996, 97 and 98 and boys born 1996 and 1997 – 6:30 to 7pm
Girls born in 1993, 94 and 95 girls boys born 1993, 94, 95 and 96 – 7 to
7:30pm
We will be talking to parents for approximately half an hour and arranging "teams" while the players have a half hour pickup game. Players will be assigned to a team and parents will be given team contacts.
The philosophy of the spring league is for the kids to have fun. For those of you who participated last year, you know that every effort is made to make each week fun. As we did last year, we will move players around the field as required to even out each game, so the players will experience a variety of team mates through each season.
We will again be playing games at Parkside Elementary on Monday evenings for 10 weeks, from April 21st to June 23rd. Team games will be scheduled in one of 2 time slots each night, 5:45pm and 7pm, with a 15 minute warm up (at the team's discretion). One or two parents from each team will be elected to run the team's sideline to ensure players get subbed in regularly, and one parent from each team will be the team manager responsible for sending emails to the team if there are schedule changes.
