Due to frozen conditions / snow, all Township of Langley Fields are closed with the exception of McLeod Athletic Park – Oval, which will be assessed this morning to determine if it will remain on “Discretion” Status or be closed. See the Township of Langley website for field status information.
The Township has closed ALL fields. All AYSC games (Developmental and Traveling) have been canceled for this weekend.
The weather forecast is now calling for wind chill values in the Fraser Valley near minus 20 for Saturday morning. As a result, ALL DEVELOPMENTAL GAMES FOR SAT. DEC. 7 ARE CANCELLED.
At present, all games scheduled for Dec. 14 will go ahead as planned; however, please keep an eye on your email / the ASYC website for any updates as we get closer to next weekend.
All Township of Langley natural grass fields and all weather fields are closed until further notice. The Township has indicated fields will not be open for the afternoon games over the weekends.
NOTE THAT THESE CLOSURES DO NOT AFFECT THE SYNTHETIC FIELDS AT ALDERGROVE ATHLETIC PARK, WHICH REMAIN OPEN.
If you have any inquiries with regards to the fields, please contact email@example.com.
The weather has taken a turn towards Winter and temperatures for this Saturday are expected to be around -2 / -3. At this point ALL DEVELOPMENTAL GAMES WILL PROCEED AS SCHEDULED; please keep an eye on your email or the AYSC website at www.aldergrovesoccer.com for any field updates. Note that the Township only ever closes the synthetic turf fields when it snows. Please dress your player accordingly (toques, gloves, layers under their jerseys and shorts, warm socks, etc.).
Coaches, if you find yourself short players, please consider mixing up the teams / borrowing players from the opposing team to ensure a game goes ahead. You can also modify play so that more (all) players are on the field moving and keeping warm and not standing on the sidelines.
Note that the last Saturday games for this year will be on December 14, with games starting again on January 11 2014.
