Spring Soccer Season Registration Spring soccer is back again this year! This program is aimed at players wanting to continue playing after the traditional season ends. The League play will start April 12th 2010 and run to June 21st. Offered to players born 1996-2005 Click here for a registration form or Click here for more detail on the Spring Program Coaches : 2010/11 Registration Packages and Tax Receipts Package pick up this year will be February 16th 2010 Kinsmen Center from 7 to 9pm. Packages contain pre registration forms for each player on your team for the 2010-2011 season and your tax receipts from 2009-2010 season. Field Status All Aldergrove Fields are OPEN February 26th 2010 TOL update; All Fields are open with the exception of the following fields:Milner Park, Garnett - west, Alex Hope Park, James kennedy, Walnut Grove West & Center, Topham east The weather forecast for this weekend does show some rain periods so for any fields that are open, please remember to check the field prior to game time. If there is standing water, the ground is saturated with water or if there are muddy areas the field is closed to play. Have a great weekend, Kelly McGivern, Township of Langley Reminder about the protocol that is to be followed with the frozen fields; 1. Frost – If there is frost on the field then the field is closed to play until that frost has melted off. When frozen grass is stepped on the frozen tissue breaks in the grass blade and it will die off at ground level leaving yellow dead patches all over the field. 2. Ground Frozen – If the Sportsfield ground is frozen then it is closed to play until the ground melts. Footing can be treacherous on a frozen field, and the impact upon bodies falling on that frozen field can result in serious injuries. 3. Snow – Snow covered Sportsfield closed, no explanation needed, see 1 and 2 above. Just a reminder that the field status line will only state "For field conditions please see your association’s web site" Developmental Soccer Games are Saturday mornings at Brown Road Park - 51st Avenue and 240th Street. This deal will carry on over to the Fall Season too. So if you eat at BP over the summer when it’s just too hot to cook, save your receipts. 2009/2010 Soccer - Fall Season 2009/10 registration packages were provided to team coaches and managers last season and included tax receipts for the 2008/2009 winter season.
